Cumulus 8.1 Workgroup Server

Som gjord för att effektivt organisera filer och leverera dem i den kvalitet som det finns behov för. Detta är en client/server-lösning som ger anställda, kunder och samarbetspartners smidig tillgång till material som är lätt att hitta och enkelt att återanvända. Cumulus lämpar sig till att vara navet i webblösningar, grafiska arbetsflöden, arkiv och liknande.

Cumulus har inbyggt stöd för över 150 filformat - exempelvis bilder, textdokument, presentationer, ljud, video eller PDF. Det gör Cumulus till marknadens mest allsidiga bilddatabas och system för Digital Asset Management. Cumulus Workgroup är även den mest använda lösningen.

Grundprinciperna

1. Organisera:
Dra filerna till Cumulus-fönstret så samlas över 80 olika informationstyper automatiskt in (exempelvis storlek, kvalitet, bildbeskrivning, copyright etc). Dessutom skapar Cumulus en miniatyrbild i hög kvalitet och i en upplösning på upp till 1024x1024 pixlar. Cumulus varken flyttar eller döper om filerna - de ligger kvar på sina ursprungliga platser - men de är enklare att hitta och att använda.

2. Sök och återanvänd:
Använd nya Cumulus QuickSearch för att hitta exakt rätt fil. Därefter är det bara att dra filerna till Word, InDesign eller någon annan programvara som man arbetar i. Om bilden önskas i en annan kvalitet, exempelvis till PowerPoint, så har Cumulus inbyggd bildkonvertering. Det räcker därmed att ha varje fil lagrad i endast en variant - Cumulus konverterar bilden när behovet uppstår.

3. Distribuera
Ge kunder och kolleger direkt tillgång via en Cumulus webblösning. Användaren behöver endast en webbläsare för att få möjlighet att söka, ladda ned och beställa alla slags filer. Webblösningar med Cumulus lämpar sig till pressbibliotek, produktkataloger och liknande - eller för att göra dokument i PDF-format sökbara. Webblösningar levereras med licens till obegränsat antal användare.

Cumulus Enterprise
Det finns en större version av Cumulus - Cumulus Enterprise. Den används för att hantera många kataloger, ett stort antal användare och komplexa åtkomsträttigheter.


Cumulus 8
The Cumulus 8 lineup includes systems for all needs and budgets. Each successive system includes all options available as standard options in lower priced systems. All systems are upgradable through product options described throughout this document.

When configuring a Cumulus 8 system with multiple product options, make sure to also consider the next system in the product line, which can offer your customers more value for their money. Configuring a lower cost system with all options standard in the next system will always cost more than the purchase of the higher priced system. And in the cases of Enterprise and Complete, additional performance and expansion options are available that are not available in Entry and Workgroup. All Cumulus 8 Servers are available for Windows,
Mac OS, Linux and Solaris. Client software for Windows and Mac OS is included. Some systems also include Internet client access and Web publishing options.


Cumulus Entry
Cumulus Entry includes 3 concurrent user licenses. It supports all file types, includes version control (check in/out) and supports all Cumulus 8 asset relations, such as variants, alternates, etc. Client software for Windows and Mac is included.
Upgrade limitations: No more than 25 users may be connected to this Server concurrently.

Cumulus Workgroup
Cumulus Workgroup includes 3 concurrent user licenses. It includes all features standard on Cumulus Entry and also comes with Internet Client Pro (ICP), which includes Web Publisher Pro (WPP) functionality.
Upgrade limitations: No more than 25 users may be connected to this Server concurrently.

About Upgrades
Customers not on Software Maintenance (SM) agreements can upgrade to Cumulus 8 at a discount off the suggested retail price of Cumulus 8. The discount applied depends on the amount of
time elapsed since the expiration of the customer's SM agreement, as defined below.

Agreement expired not more than 1 year before upgrade purchase date. Customer receives a discount of 50% of the license value of the expired SM agreement, but not more than 50% of the license value of the Cumulus 8 version purchased.

Agreement expired more than 1 year, but not more than 2 years before upgrade purchase date. Customer receives a discount of 35% of the license value of the expired SM agreement, but not more than 50% of the license value of the Cumulus 8 version purchased.

Other customers without a current maintenance agreement
Customer receives a discount of 5% of the purchase price of the Cumulus 8 version purchased.

Note: All upgrades include twelve (12) months of SM.
